The following conditions apply:
For Container-based MiVoice Business (cMiVB), Application Reach Through for MiVoice Business Release 9.1 or later is supported only with Multi Label Switching (MPLS) Point of Presence (POP).
Application Reach Through is only available in an Administrative Group that supports Multi-Node Management (MNM) applications.
The IP addresses of the remote member elements in the Administrative Group must be added to the remote management network using Server Manager. See Security > Remote Access in the Server Manager Help for more information.
SDS must be sharing data among the elements in the Administrative group. If elements are not sharing data, they will not be available for Application Reach Through.
If the system administration policy of the user on the remote element is different than the system administration policy of the user on the login node, the user access is governed by the policy on the remote element.
Before you can use Application Reach Through, if you are using an MiVoice Business Self-Signed Security Certificate or your own certificate, you must configure your browser to trust the MiVoice Business web server by installing the certificate on your browser. If you are using Internet Explorer (IE), you must also add the IP address of the MiVoice Business in the Admin Group to the Trusted Sites list of your Internet Explorer browser.
You should also disable the pop-up blocker in the browser (applies to IE and Firefox; the command to disable the blocker is in the Tools > Internet Options and Tools > Options menu respectively); otherwise, you’ll get a prompt and have to respond to it before you are allowed to continue with the reach-through.
IMPORTANT: Firefox users must do the certificate installation twice for any Admin Group element that is logged in to using the element's FQDN (i.e., the element host name), once for the FQDN and again for the IP address.
Application Reach Through is disabled if you have logged in to the MiVoice Business System Administration Tool using the IP address and the installed web server certificate is from a Certificate Authority (CA).
The current date and time must be set on each MiVoice Business system in the Administration Group. You set the system "Date and Time" through Server Manager (Configuration > Date and Time)(for all platforms except Container-based MiVoice Business (cMiVB)). For Container-based MiVoice Business (cMiVB), you can set the date and time through Solution Manager > Time Zone.
If Application Reach Through is available you can click on the Show form on list to display a list of the elements in the Administrative Group.
If Application Reach Through is not available for a form, the Show form on list displays "Not Accessible".
Mozilla Firefox supports reach through to MCD 6.0 SP1 or later systems only. If a system in the Admin Group is incompatible, it won't be in the Show form on list on the local element. Other Reach Through features unavailable on incompatible MiVoice Business systems:
Record-level Reach Through in forms such as the Multiline Set Key form
Remote Login in the SDS Distribution Errors form
Reach Through from the Admin Group Alarm Summary form to the Alarm Details form on a remote MiVoice Business system
For successfully using Reach Through on the Chrome browser, you must initially access remote member through the browser.
It's possible to reach-through to forms that contain data from elements that do not belong to the Administrative Group. For example
A reach through to the SDS Distribution Errors form on an Administrative Group member element could show updates that were initiated at sharing scopes greater than the Administrative Group scope.
You can reach through to the SDS Form Comparison form on an another Administrative Group member element and then compare form data from that member with a network element that is not a member of the Administrative Group.
You can reach through to the Hunt Groups form on an another Administrative Group member element and then assign a secondary element for hunt group resiliency. The secondary element can be an element outside of the current Administrative Group.
